Heavily based on the Princess Maker series and the ‘choose your own adventure’ concept, Spice! is a forum and web-based game where you get to ‘adopt’ a character and raise them independently in a mystical world.

You’re given a base set of personality points to assign to your character as you please, and after that, the rest is up to you. Well, partially. Your task is to help guide your character through all the trials of life -- learning, working, and playing. Everything you do will affect your character in some way, be it building skills or even shifts in personalities. Will you have them follow a path of good or will they fall to the more sinister side of life?

The kingdom of Eras is a grand one with many opportunities to offer. Merchants are widely successful and the entertainment business is booming. If there ever was a place to be, this is it. Paradise. Well, almost. The kingdom is on the brink of war with a Demon Lord. Little is known about the threat, save from the creatures that keep appearing just outside the castle walls.

Your ‘child’ was a gift from the gods. Quite literally. The figure was too illuminated to see, but the message was clear,

“You’ve been chosen to take care of this soul. It’s up to you now.”

You didn’t get to ask questions, but you’ve gained control of something divine. Your influence on this child alone could rescue the kingdom or destroy it (or, if you’re so inclined, something completely in between -- a mundane life isn’t necessarily an empty one).
